Hair-Raicing Look For New Year

Posted in Hair

We’re big Halloween fans over here at Love Hair Colour, and even though we are too old to go Trick or Treating now, we’re never to old to get excited about wearing scary costumes. Naturally, choosing a ‘horror hairstyle’ is our favourite part! From the Bride Of Frankenstein’s backcombed hair with white streaks to gothic black locks for vampire chic, there is a weird and wacky look for everyone this October 31st.

Having the right hairstyle can really complete a Halloween costume, and backcombing is the key to creepily crazy hair – the bigger the better! This isn’t about gentle teasing to give your hair a little lift, Halloween is about extreme volume, messy tresses and LOTS of hairspray. Want to rock a hair-raising look yourself? Here’s our guide to recreating some scarily big Halloween hair:

You will need:

  • Crimping iron
  • Brush
  • Comb
  • Hair pins
  • Supersoft Maximum Hold Hairspray

To begin, brush through your hair and then separate it into sections.
Spray each section with Supersoft Maximum Hold Hairspray to give the hair some texture.
Next, divide your hair into 1-2inch sections and crimp from root to tip. Repeat until all the hair is crimped.

Use your comb to backcomb 1-2inch sections of crimped hair to create the big volume this style requires. Spray each section generously with got2b glued blasting freeze spray.
Once you have reached the volume you require, simply add the finishing touches by teasing your hair into place, securing a few sections with hair pins if necessary.

There you have it – your perfect look for scaring away those pesky Trick Or Treaters!
