Marin Christian Academy looks to the Bible as the primary source for determining its philosophy of education, goals, and mission. We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God: and the philosophy, goals, and mission derived from it will be God-honoring. MCA exists because our philosophy is unique in the educational world. MCA stands apart because our philosophy is based on belief in Jesus Christ, who said,
I am the truth (John 14:6), and the Bible as the Word of God: Sanctify them through the truth; Thy word is truth (John 17:17).
MCA is committed to providing a high academic program with proven curriculum that will include the development of the whole child spiritually, mentally, socially, physically and emotionally. Our strong academic program is Biblically based and uses a comprehensive core curriculum with an emphasis in fine arts and technology. Through the academic program, students are challenged to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, become caring citizens of society, develop critical thinking skills, study skills and basic academic skills that are essential to their future success. Our goal is to equip students to become intrinsically motivated to perform and achieve, commit themselves to becoming life-long learners, accept responsibility for their own actions and serve God and their fellow man with love and respect.
MCA’s mission is to support Christian parents in their God-given task of preparing their children:
- To achieve the character and academic excellence necessary to succeed in their generation for God’s glory.
- To serve God with purity and disciplined lives.
- To serve others with love.
We have identified 15 spiritual and academic standards that enable us to teach and fulfill our mission statement. We call these standards ESLRs: Expected School Wide Learning Results. As we fulfill the following standards, we accomplish our goals in 4 areas: Spiritual, Self-development, Social, and Scholastic.
